Clint Bowyer Finishes 10th in Dover

PEAK’s Clint Bowyer had a solid run, coming home in tenth position at the Monster Mile in Dover, Delaware Sunday afternoon.  Check out all the race highlights below.

NHRA

The NHRA Mello Yello Countdown to the Championship continues with the NHRA Carolina Nationals in Charlotte, North Carolina October 11-13.

NASCAR CUP SERIES

Kyle Larson celebrated his first NASCAR Cup Series victory in two years Sunday at Dover International Speedway, taking the checkered flag by 1.578-seconds over runner-up Martin Truex Jr. and securing himself and his team their first-ever berth in the upcoming Round of 8.  Fellow playoff contenders, Alex Bowman, Kevin Harvick and Denny Hamlin, rounded out the top five.

Among the other playoff-eligible drivers, PEAK’s Clint Bowyer rallied to a 10th-place finish, one position ahead of 2012 Cup champion Brad Keselowski, who was the only driver to score top-five finishes in all three opening round races. William Byron was 13th.

The next event on the NASCAR Cup Series schedule is Sunday, October 13th at Talladega Superspeedway in Alabama.

FIA FORMULA ONE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

2019 FIA Formula One World Championship resumes with the Japanese Grand Prix October 13th at Suzuka Circuit.

NASCAR PEAK MEXICO SERIES

The next event on the NASCAR PEAK Mexico Series schedule will be at the Miguel E. Abed track in Puebla on October 19-20.

DIRT LATE MODEL SERIES

Kyle Bronson took advantage of race leader Jimmy Owens’ misfortune on lap 45 to win Friday night at Raceway 7 in Conneaut, Ohio.  The event held in front of a packed grandstand, saw a dramatic ending as Owens’ dominance of the race came to an end as he slowed with four laps remaining.  Bronson then pulled away from runner-up Tim McCreadie to win the event.  PEAK’s Josh Richards finished third, followed by Hudson O’Neal and Jonathan Davenport.

Saturday night, Don O’Neal won his second Pittsburgher 100 in the last three years at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway, taking home the $20,000 and his first victory of 2019 season.  Earl Pearson Jr. charged from the 23rd starting spot to finish second behind O’Neal. Tim McCreadie rallied to finish in third, followed by Jimmy Owens and Gregg Satterlee rounded out the top five.

As the season comes to a close, PEAK’s Josh Richards sits third in the standings.  The next event is Saturday, October 12th in Woodstock, Georgia.

eNASCAR PEAK ANTIFREEZE iRACING SERIES

The final race of the eNASCAR PEAK Antifreeze Series season will be at Homestead-Miami Speedway on Tuesday, October 8th.
