FORCE Wins #159 at Mile High Nationals in Denver

John Force captured his 149th Funny Car victory Sunday at Bandimere Speedway in Denver, Colorado. The winningest driver in NHRA history defeated Matt Hagan, Cruz Pedregon, daughter Courtney Force, and long-time rival Ron Capps in the finals.

After outrunning Matt Hagan, then beating Cruz Pedregon on a hole-shot, Force, the number five qualifier, faced the number one qualifier, daughter Courtney Force in the semifinals where John pulled away just past half track for the win, setting up an epic battle between Force and Ron Capps.  In the finals, Force took a starting line advantage with another .037 reaction time and got the win over a quicker Ron Capps with a 4.067 to Force’s 4.075.
