Experts sound off on power, performance, and maintenance

Made for TV

For those of you living under a rock the past couple months, PEAK Motor Oil and racing partner Michael Waltrip launched a nationwide drivers search to find the next Stock Car Star. So far, over 500,000 votes have been cast for the hopefuls that had the courage to submit a video and explain why they deserve a shot at becoming Michael Waltrip Racing’s development driver.

Only 10 racers will make it to the final competition held at the epicenter of Stock Car racing – Charlotte Motor Speedway. There, they’ll dive into three days of intense instruction and training, and a single driver will emerge with a shot at professional racing glory.

Sounds dramatic, doesn’t it?
Fierce competition brings out the best and worst in people, and let’s be honest – it’s fun to watch, which is why we’ll be sharing the drama on SPEED August 12th – Set your DVR now.

This is a legit shot at fulfilling a dream.
A potential life-changer.

We’re taking this very seriously & will be testing our potential racers in ways they won’t see coming. They need to be prepared to meet every demand a professional racer faces today, and the team at PEAK and MWR have created a brutal schedule across three days of scrutiny.

Of course this is about performance on the Speedway, but there’s more than that.

Road course skills and endurance racing.
Working with spotters.
Giving feedback on the car.
Media and PR.

You can’t just show up and be good at turning left.

And you can’t get starstruck. Your coaches are going to include Danica Patrick, Mark Martin, Clint Bowyer and Martin Truex Jr., with Michael Waltrip sitting in the judge’s booth.

It won’t be easy, but it will be fun. Everyone will leave a better driver, but one skilled leadfoot will leave with a shot to make it to the big stage.

If you haven’t entered, there’s still time – but you better bring your A game.
Enter now for your shot at Stock Car Racing glory.
