Top 3 for PEAK Team at ‘Dega Coulda Shoulda Woulda Been a Victory

The last 24 hours have been a roller coaster for the driver of the No. 15 PEAK machine Clint Bowyer. On Sunday at the legendary Talladega Superspeedway, the Kansas native was in position to earn his third victory at the 2.66 mile track. On the white flag lap, he was in third place with teammate Brian Vickers behind him.

Traditionally, that’s the catbird seat for a win. However, due to a wreck that left debris on the start-finish line, NASCAR was forced to throw the caution flag, handing the win to Denny Hamlin.

After his podium finish Sunday, Clint’s Monday was even better as it was announced that he & his wife will be parents in the near future. It was also announced that Michael Waltrip Racing has given Bowyer and his crew chief, Brian Pattie, a five-year contract extension.
